residing w/in a schismed society called "the sphere," rudo surebrec is wrongfully sentenced to life on the "ground" & forced to adapt to the unfamiliar (trash-ridden) civilization. adjusting to his new life on the ground, rudo triggers powers through channeling his "special object," discovering a vast community of groundlings that share similar abilities.

kiniya, a gangster with a hot girlfriend & loyal right-hand man, sets out to kill an infamous mob boss to prove his masculinity. when he runs into unexpected conflict with his girlfriend, things go exceedingly south.

hell's paradise: jigokuraku [fuji kaku]

despite jigokuraku technically being animanga, i haven't seen the anime adaptation. thus, i will be labelling this review solely as manga. 

gabimaru the hollow, one of the most notoriously gruesome ninjas in japan, is unlawfully detained and held on death row. after discovering his will to live, gabimaru is given another shot at life -- with the condition that he (and several other inmates) find the elixir of life, located on a deserted island with supernatural obstacles.
